You will take on full Class Teacher responsibilities, with pay ranging from £174.10 to £240.70 per day, depending on experience, with the potential to earn up to M6. Job Role
- Take full responsibility for teaching a Year 6 class, delivering engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
- Prepare pupils for their KS2 SATs, supporting attainment and closing gaps in learning.
- Monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs.
- Establish positive, productive relationships with pupils, colleagues and families.
- Work collaboratively with the supportive school team, including Teaching Assistants (TAs), to create an inclusive learning environment.
- Maintain a calm, consistent and positive classroom environment, helping pupils develop confidence and achieve their potential.
Required Skills and Experience
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Previous UK school experience is essential.
- Experience teaching Year 6 and preparing pupils for Key Stage 2 (KS2) SATs.
- Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and effective assessment strategies.
- Proven ability to close gaps in attainment and achieve strong pupil progress.
- Experience working as a Primary Teacher or Class Teacher within a Primary School.
- Ability to build supportive relationships with pupils, staff and families.
- Calm, hardworking, reliable and resilient, with the ability to adapt to challenging situations.
- Experience working alongside TAs and supporting pupils with a range of learning needs.
