Year 2 Teacher required for a welcoming GOOD Ofsted-rated Primary School in Gloucester. This part time opportunity starts in September and is expected to continue until at least Christmas. This is an excellent job share position, working Monday and Tuesday in a Year 2 class, with Wednesday covering Reception PPA, offering variety while maintaining a great work-life balance. This Year 2 Teacher role includes full class responsibilities including planning, preparation and marking.
We are recruiting a dedicated Primary Teacher to join a friendly and supportive Primary School in Gloucester. As the successful Class Teacher, you will take full responsibility for your Year 2 class on Mondays and Tuesdays, with Reception PPA cover on Wednesdays. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Primary Teacher or an ECT looking for a long-term role in a nurturing school environment.
As this Year 2 Teacher you will be responsible for:
- Full class responsibilities including planning, preparation, assessment and marking
- Delivering engaging lessons following the National Curriculum
- Supporting pupils to achieve their full potential through high-quality teaching
- Covering Reception PPA every Wednesday and adapting lessons to meet pupils' needs
- Maintaining excellent behaviour and creating a positive learning environment
- Working closely with colleagues, parents and senior leaders to support pupil progress
Required Skills and Experience for this Year 2 Teacher role you will have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience working as a Primary Teacher, Year 2 Teacher or Class Teacher
- Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum
- Understanding of Key Stage 2 (KS2) expectations
- Excellent behaviour management and strong classroom management skills
- Experience with full class teaching responsibilities including planning and marking
- The ability to build positive relationships within a Primary School
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A flexible and proactive approach to teaching
