HLTA (Higher Level Teaching Assistant) opportunities are available within a welcoming Primary School in Gloucester. This HLTA role is a full-time, long-term position starting in September and continuing until the end of the academic year. Working as a PPA Teacher, you will deliver high-quality learning across the primary age range while also supporting pupils through targeted interventions and classroom-based support. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HLTA or qualified Teacher seeking a rewarding role within a primary school.
Responsibilities
- Planning and delivering targeted intervention sessions to support pupil progress and attainment
- Providing in-class support to pupils and teachers to enhance learning outcomes
- Maintaining positive behaviour management and following the school's behaviour policies
- Following all safeguarding procedures and promoting pupil welfare at all times
Required Skills and Experience
- HLTA Qualification or Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience working as a HLTA, PPA Teacher, Primary Teacher, or Class Teacher
- Experience working within a Primary School setting
- Experience supporting learning across Key Stage 2 (KS2)
- Experience planning and delivering interventions to support pupil progress
- Confidence providing classroom support and working collaboratively with teaching staff
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

- £110 per day which equates to £21,450 per annum based on working 5 days per week for a full school year

Location
This position is in Gloucester, which is easily commutable from Cheltenham, Tewkesbury, Stroud, Stonehouse, Quedgeley, and Churchdown and has excellent transport links from surrounding areas. The school also offers onsite parking.
