A dedicated 2-form entry Primary school in Dudley is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join their team from May through to the end of the academic year in July. This full-time HLTA position covers classes across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 and offers valuable experience with all primary age groups. There is no planning required, making it a great opportunity for those who want a healthy work/life balance while gaining varied classroom experience. This role is based in Dudley, easily accessible from Rowley Regis, Cradley Heath, Oldbury and surrounding areas.
Responsibilities
- Deliver pre-planned lessons across KS1 and KS2 in the absence of the class teacher
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively and promote a positive learning environment
- Support pupils’ learning and engagement across a variety of subjects
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of all learners, including those with additional needs
- Work closely with teaching staff to ensure consistency and continuity across classes
- Provide feedback on pupil progress and classroom activities
