Job Role

  • Supporting the Class Teacher in delivering the National Curriculum across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4)
  • Assisting students in small groups or on a 1:1 basis within a Secondary School setting
  • Helping to prepare classroom materials and maintain an engaging learning environment
  • Supporting students with additional needs to access the curriculum effectively
  • Managing classroom behaviour and promoting positive engagement as a TA
  • Adapting quickly to different Secondary School environments on a day‑to‑day basis

Required Skills and Experience

  • Previous UK school experience is essential
  • Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, TA, Learning Support Assistant, or Classroom Assistant
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum
  • Experience supporting students across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4)
  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Ability to work closely with a Class Teacher and independently when required
  • Excellent communication skills and a passion for supporting young people’s learning
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to working in different Secondary School settings
