Are you a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner looking for a flexible part-time role in a supportive Day Nursery environment? A welcoming Day Nursery in Oldbury is seeking a dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join their team on an ongoing basis. This flexible role is for 2 days per week, working 8:30 - 3:30, with the opportunity for additional hours, as the nursery operates from 8am - 6pm all week.
This Nursery Practitioner role is based within a friendly and nurturing nursery setting, supporting young children during a key stage of their early development. You will work closely with the nursery team to provide a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment, helping children to grow socially, emotionally, and academically through a balance of play-based and structured activities.
The nursery is looking for a warm, reliable, and adaptable Nursery Practitioner with strong EYFS knowledge, previous nursery-based experience, and confidence supporting personal care routines. Flexibility is key, as there may be opportunities to work additional days when required.
As a Nursery Practitioner, your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting children through play-based and structured learning activities
- Assisting with the delivery of the EYFS curriculum
- Supporting children’s personal, social, and emotional development
- Encouraging communication, independence, and positive behaviour
- Supporting personal care routines, including toileting and hygiene
- Supporting daily routines such as snack time and outdoor play
- Working closely with colleagues to maintain a consistent and caring environment
- Helping to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating setting
To be successful in this Nursery Practitioner role, you will need:
- Previous experience working within a Nursery, or Early Years setting
- A relevant Early Years qualification - minimum level 2
- Experience supporting personal care
- A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach
- A good understanding of the EYFS framework
- Flexibility to work additional days when required
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A reliable and professional attitude
