Learning Support Assistant in Secondary Schools is an exciting opportunity for a compassionate and motivated individual to support young people in a dynamic education setting. JOB ROLE
- Supporting students across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4) in line with the National Curriculum
- Working closely with the Class Teacher to deliver tailored learning support
- Providing 1:1 and small group interventions as a TA
- Helping manage classroom behaviour and engagement
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Previous UK school experience and a passion for education
- Experience supporting pupils in Primary School environments is highly desirable
- Confidence working alongside a Class Teacher and acting in a TA capacity
- Familiarity with the National Curriculum, KS3 and KS4
- Level 2 or Level 3 qualification
- Understanding of SEN support strategies
- Ability to work across Secondary School settings
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and child development

LOCATION
This position is based in Rubery, which is easily commutable from Kings Norton, Northfield, Longbridge, Rednal, Bartley Green and Frankley, with excellent transport links across Birmingham. The school offers onsite parking. Opportunities across Primary School settings are also available locally, giving exposure to both Secondary and Primary School environments while working alongside a Class Teacher and supporting as a TA in inclusive classrooms.
