Our client is based in South Birmingham with a “good” Ofsted rating and are known for having extremely supportive SLT and an all-round good reputation. The ideal candidate will be confident teaching English (Literature & Language) across KS3 and KS4.
Job Role
- Deliver engaging English lessons across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4)
- Plan and prepare lessons in line with the National Curriculum
- Assess, track, and report on pupil progress
- Maintain excellent classroom behaviour management and implement school policies
- Support students’ literacy development and learning needs through effective differentiation
- Contribute to departmental planning and whole‑school initiatives
- Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
Required Skills and Experience
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in English (ECTs welcome)
- Experience working as an English Teacher in a UK Secondary School
- Strong subject knowledge of English Language and Literature across KS3 and KS4
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
- Experience planning and delivering lessons independently
- A positive reference from your most recent employer
