Flourish Education are currently seeking a Key Stage 1 Teacher to join one of our partner primary schools in Dudley. This is a full-time position starting after October Half Term and continuing until the end of the academic year.
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a Year 1 class, taking on full teaching duties including planning, delivering lessons, marking and assessing pupil progress. The school are particularly interested in teachers who have experience delivering phonics, with Little Wandle phonics training being highly desirable.

Required Responsibilities as a Key Stage 1 Teacher:
- Taking on full class teacher responsibilities, including planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 National Curriculum.
- Delivering structured phonics sessions to support pupils' early reading and writing development.
- Monitoring and assessing pupil progress, using assessment information to identify learning gaps and adapt future lessons.
- Supporting Year 1 pupils as they develop independence, confidence and essential learning skills.
- Working closely with teaching assistants and other members of staff to provide a supportive and engaging classroom environment.
Working as a Key Stage 1 Teacher, you will have the following skills:
- Previous experience teaching within Key Stage 1 in a UK primary school, ideally within Year 1.
- Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and early reading development.
- Experience delivering systematic synthetic phonics, with Little Wandle training being highly desirable.
- Ability to plan creative, differentiated lessons that meet the needs of pupils with varying abilities.
- Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to create a positive classroom atmosphere.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
