Flourish Education is looking for a Drama Teacher to work at a secondary school in Solihull, with the role starting in September 2026 and continuing until May 2027.

This is a part-time position for a teacher who can engage students through practical Drama and help them build confidence, communication and performance skills.

The successful candidate will teach across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 and will be responsible for planning lessons, assessing progress and managing behaviour.

You will use a range of teaching approaches to support students with different abilities and encourage them to take an active role in practical and performance work.

The position would suit an experienced Drama Teacher or an ECT with a relevant subject background.

Job Role

  • Deliver Drama lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Plan practical and theory-based lessons
  • Develop students' confidence, performance and communication skills
  • Monitor and assess pupil progress
  • Provide feedback to support students' development
  • Encourage participation in practical activities
  • Maintain good classroom behaviour and clear expectations

Required Skills and Experience

  • QTS or Early Career Teacher (ECT) status
  • Previous experience teaching Drama or Performing Arts within a secondary school
  • Good knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 Drama curriculum
  • Strong subject knowledge and practical performance skills
  • Ability to plan and deliver lessons independently
  • Effective classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • Reliable and flexible approach to teaching
