Your role
You’ll build a safe, effective and profitable tuition service supporting children and young people through SEND tuition, alternative provision, targeted academic intervention and online learning.
Your responsibilities will include:
-
Developing the tuition strategy, budget and growth plan, starting in Birmingham and supporting expansion through approved regional hubs.
-
Building relationships with local authorities, virtual schools, schools and multi-academy trusts.
-
Identifying suitable opportunities and leading tender submissions, bids, contract negotiations and mobilisation.

Taking ownership of the division’s commercial performance, including pricing, margins, forecasts and delivery costs.
-
Recruiting, coaching and developing tuition account managers and future regional leaders.
-
Building a suitable tutor network across subjects, key stages, locations and specialist needs.
-
Overseeing the learner journey from referral and tutor matching through assessment, delivery, progress reviews and final reporting.
-
Establishing quality assurance through observations, tutor coaching, learner feedback and evidence of progress.
-
Working with our compliance team and Designated Safeguarding Lead to maintain safe recruitment and delivery arrangements.
-
Implementing practical CRM, booking, online classroom and reporting processes.
The role will involve travel to commissioners, clients and regional hubs.
What we’re looking for
You’ll bring senior leadership experience in tuition, alternative provision or a comparable education service, alongside evidence that you can develop a service and deliver commercial results.
We’re particularly interested in your experience of:
-
Winning and managing local authority or school contracts.

You’ll be comfortable moving between strategic planning and practical delivery, building relationships and taking responsibility for making things happen.
