We are looking for SEN Teachers to join schools in Coventry, starting as soon as possible. This is a full‑time position, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 4:00 pm, offering the opportunity to support pupils with a range of physical and complex needs, including visual impairment, hearing impairment, and multi‑sensory impairment.
In this role, you will plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to each pupil’s individual needs. You will support the development of communication, independence, and positive engagement, using structured routines and consistent strategies to meet the needs of learners with diverse abilities and sensory challenges.

The SEN Teacher Role:
- Deliver engaging and inclusive lessons tailored to pupils with physical and complex needs, including visual impairment, hearing impairment, and multi-sensory impairment, ensuring that every learner receives the individualised support they need to make meaningful progress.
- Support students with complex and additional educational needs
- Adapt learning materials and approaches to suit individual learning styles and EHCP outcomes
- Build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues
- Plan and adapt lessons to suit diverse learning styles and individual education plans (IEPs), ensuring each pupil receives the support they need to thrive.
- Work closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs and external agencies
Required Skills and Experience for this SEND Teacher Role:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS)
- Experience in roles such as SEN Teacher, Specialist Teacher for children with physical and complex needs, including visual impairments, hearing impairments, and multi-sensory impairments
- Ensuring that every learner receives the individualised support they need to make meaningful progress.
- A strong understanding of SEND, particularly in supporting pupils with complex learning difficulties, complex communication needs, autism, and low levels of cognition and learning.
- Experience working in a special school, PRU or inclusive mainstream setting
- Familiarity with strategies for managing behaviour and supporting children with emotional and behavioural challenges
- Must be confident in planning and delivering differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs and learning outcomes.
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
- Up-to-date knowledge of safeguarding practices

- £162.31 to £223.63 per day which equates to £31,650 to £43,607 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year
