Flourish Education is working with a welcoming secondary school in Edgwick, Coventry that is looking to appoint a dedicated Science Teacher for a full-time, long-term position from September 2026 until July 2027. The successful candidate will teach Science across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, delivering engaging Biology, Chemistry, and Physics lessons that inspire curiosity, build confidence, and encourage academic success.
Job Role- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Science lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
- Follow the National Curriculum and adapt lessons to meet the needs of all learners
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing effective feedback to support achievement
- Maintain high standards of behaviour management and implement school policies consistently
- Contribute to departmental planning and wider school initiatives
- Build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or Early Career Teacher (ECT)
- Experience teaching Biology, Chemistry, and Physics within a UK secondary school
- Strong subject knowledge across the Science curriculum at KS3 and KS4
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
- Experience planning and delivering lessons independently
- Organised, reliable, and committed to supporting student progress
- Full-time Science Teacher role from September 2026 until July 2027
- Pay from £174.71 to £240.70 per day, equivalent to £34,068 to £46,937 per annum, based on working five days per week for a full school year (M1-M6), depending on experience
