Flourish Education is recruiting for a PE Teacher to join a secondary school in Earlsdon, Coventry, starting in September 2026 and continuing until July 2027. The school is looking for a PE specialist to teach across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 and support students in developing their practical skills, knowledge, and understanding of Physical Education.

The successful PE Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering lessons, assessing student progress, and maintaining effective behaviour management. You will teach a range of sporting activities and encourage students to develop their confidence and ability in PE. This role would suit an experienced PE Teacher or an ECT looking to develop their teaching experience.

Job Role:
  • Plan and deliver PE lessons across KS3 and KS4
  • Teach a range of sporting activities to students with different abilities
  • Develop pupils' practical skills and understanding of Physical Education
  • Assess and monitor student progress throughout the academic year
  • Provide feedback to help students improve their performance
  • Maintain high standards of behaviour and classroom expectations
  • Work effectively with members of the PE department
  • Support extracurricular activities, fixtures and sporting events where required
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a PE specialism – ECTs are welcome to apply
  • Previous experience teaching PE within a UK secondary school
  • Good subject knowledge across Physical Education and a range of sports
  • Experience planning and delivering lessons independently
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • Ability to adapt lessons for different abilities and learning needs
  • Reliable and professional approach to teaching
