We are currently recruiting for a General Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive primary school in Arley. This is a part-time position starting Monday 18th May, continuing for 6 weeks. The role is working Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm, supporting pupils across Key Stage 1. This is a varied and rewarding role where you will support class teachers in delivering engaging lessons, assist pupils with their learning, and help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting pupils across KS1 with their learning and development
  • Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom activities
  • Helping to manage behaviour in line with school policies
  • Supporting small groups and individual pupils where required
  • Creating a positive, engaging, and safe learning environment
  • Following the school’s safeguarding and behaviour policies

Required Skills and Experience

  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is desirable
  • Previous experience working within a primary school setting
  • A proactive, flexible, and enthusiastic approach
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
  • A passion for supporting young children in their early education
