We are currently recruiting for a General Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive primary school in Arley. This is a part-time position starting Monday 18th May, continuing for 6 weeks. The role is working Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm, supporting pupils across Key Stage 1. This is a varied and rewarding role where you will support class teachers in delivering engaging lessons, assist pupils with their learning, and help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Responsibilities
- Supporting pupils across KS1 with their learning and development
- Assisting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom activities
- Helping to manage behaviour in line with school policies
- Supporting small groups and individual pupils where required
- Creating a positive, engaging, and safe learning environment
- Following the school’s safeguarding and behaviour policies
Required Skills and Experience
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is desirable
- Previous experience working within a primary school setting
- A proactive, flexible, and enthusiastic approach
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
- A passion for supporting young children in their early education
