We are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to work in a Primary School based in Wolverhampton. This Teaching Assistant role will involve working closely with the class teacher to support a safe, engaging, and positive learning environment in a Year 2 class. The school is looking for a candidate with experience delivering small group and 1:1 interventions in core subjects. The school uses the Little Wandle phonics scheme, so experience with this would be desirable. This role will start as soon as possible and continue until July 2026. The working hours are 8:30am – 3:30pm. There is also the potential for this role to become a temp-to-perm position.
Required Skills and Experience
- Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification
- Good curriculum knowledge of Key Stage 1 (KS1)
- Experience working in Nurseries or Primary Schools as a Teaching Assistant or LSA
- A DBS on the update service or issued within the last 12 months
- UK school experience
- A minimum of 2 excellent references
