We are currently recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming, three-form-entry, ‘Outstanding’-rated primary school in Cannock.
This role will involve providing 1:1 support for a Year 1 pupil who has a global developmental delay. The school is looking for a confident and experienced Teaching Assistant who can build positive relationships, implement effective behaviour management strategies, and provide consistent, tailored support to help the pupil engage successfully in their learning.
This is a full-time position, starting as soon as possible and continuing until December 2026, working Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.
Required Skills and Experience for this SEND Teaching Assistant Role:
- Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
- Have experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
- Have previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant (LSA) within a nursery or primary school.
- Have recent UK school-based experience.
- Have a DBS registered on the Update Service or one that was issued within the last 12 months.
- Be able to provide a minimum of two excellent professional references.
