We are recruiting for a Science Teacher to join a thriving and well‑resourced secondary school that offers a truly unique teaching environment. This role is due to start as soon as possible, with the opportunity to start in September covering a maternity leave for the right candidate. The role involves teaching both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with responsibilities including lesson planning and marking. As this is a long‑term supply teacher role, you will be expected to:

  • Teach Science throughout KS3 and KS4.
  • Planning, marking, and assessment required.
  • Comply with the school behaviour policy.
  • Reporting pupil progress against targets/action plans.
  • Build relationships with the pupils, parents, and staff.
  • Excellent behaviour and classroom management skills.

Required skills and experience for the Science Teacher role:

  • Specialist in Science.
  • Confident teaching both Science up to GCSE.
  • Must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in English—Early career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply.
  • Ability to manage a classroom with excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Contact references from all employment in the last 24 months.
  • Previous school experience teaching Science.
