Are you a dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Teacher looking for a full-time role? A welcoming and supportive First School in Bromsgrove is seeking a confident Nursery Teacher to join their team full-time from September until Christmas initially, with the potential for the role to continue beyond the initial contract. This role is ideal for a passionate Nursery Teacher who can confidently plan and deliver engaging early years learning opportunities, maintain a nurturing environment, and support children through this important stage of their development.
The successful candidate will work with the school's 3–4 year‑olds and will be supported by three experienced Teaching Assistants within the classroom. As a Nursery Teacher, you will take full responsibility for planning, assessment, and delivering high-quality Early Years provision, creating a stimulating and inclusive environment where children can develop socially, emotionally, and academically.
Responsibilities- Planning and delivering engaging activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework.
- Taking full class teaching responsibility for a Nursery class of 3–4 year‑olds.
- Creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment.
- Observing, assessing, and tracking children's progress and development.
- Working closely with three Teaching Assistants to support learning and development across the class.
- Encouraging children's communication, language, social, and emotional development.
- Building positive relationships with parents, carers, and colleagues.
- Attending staff meetings and working collaboratively with teaching staff, support staff, and senior leaders.
- Supporting children's wellbeing and helping them develop confidence and independence.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent Early Years teaching qualification.
- Previous experience teaching within Nursery or the Early Years Foundation Stage.
- A strong understanding of the EYFS Framework and child development.
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
- A nurturing, patient, and professional approach.
- The ability to create engaging and developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- The ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
- Competitive daily pay rates, from £162 to £223, based on previous pay scale and experience.
- Holiday Pay – PAYE candidates accrue 12.07% of their day rate.
