Flourish Education is currently seeking a passionate and committed Food Technology Teacher to join a well-established Secondary School in Bromsgrove from October 2026. This is a long-term opportunity running throughout the academic year, with the possibility of either full-time or part-time work depending on the successful candidate’s availability. As a Food Technology Teacher, you will deliver enjoyable and purposeful lessons to students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. You will be responsible for creating lessons that combine practical food preparation with the essential theory, nutrition and food science knowledge required by the curriculum. The successful Food Technology Teacher will be able to adapt their teaching to suit a range of abilities and learning needs. You will encourage students to develop their creativity, independence and practical skills, while maintaining a safe, organised and inclusive classroom environment. The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and motivate them to take pride in their work will be essential.

Job Role:
- Deliver engaging Food Technology lessons across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4)
- Teach a broad Food Technology curriculum, including nutrition, food preparation, food science, and healthy eating
- Follow the National Curriculum and adapt lessons to meet the needs of all learners
- Maintain excellent behaviour management and high expectations within both classroom and practical environments
- Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing constructive feedback to support achievement
- Ensure a safe and organised learning environment, promoting food hygiene and health and safety procedures
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents within the Secondary School
Required Skills and Experience:
- Food Technology Teacher, Design Technology Teacher, Secondary Teacher
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Recent experience teaching Food Technology within a Secondary School setting
- Excellent subject knowledge in Food Technology and nutrition
- Strong understanding of the National Curriculum for KS3 and KS4
