Are you an experienced and driven Key Stage 2 Teacher looking for a full-time opportunity? Flourish Education are working in partnership with a welcoming Primary School in Brierley Hill, who are seeking a Year 4 Class Teacher to join their team in September. This Year 4 Class Teacher role will start in the new academic year, and is ideally suited to an experienced practitioner with strong Key Stage 2 experience. The school offers a supportive and collaborative working environment, where planning and resources are shared across the three-form entry structure. Staff work closely together to ensure consistency, high standards, and strong outcomes for all pupils.

As a Year 4 Class Teacher, your responsibilities will include:

  • Taking full responsibility for a Year 4 class, including planning, teaching, and assessments.
  • Delivering engaging, high-quality lessons in line with the KS2 curriculum.
  • Using assessment data effectively to inform planning, identify gaps, and maximise pupil progress.
  • Creating a focused, structured and motivating classroom environment.
  • Maintaining high expectations for attainment, behaviour and presentation.
  • Collaborating with the other class teachers to ensure consistency in planning, assessment and moderation.
  • Building strong relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues to support pupils.

Required Skills and Experience for this Year 4 Class Teacher role:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Substantial experience within Key Stage 2.
  • A secure understanding of the Year 4 curriculum.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • The ability to motivate, challenge and inspire learners during a demanding academic period.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A DBS on the Update Service or issued within the last 12 months.
  • A minimum of two excellent references.
