Are you an experienced and driven Key Stage 2 Teacher looking for a full-time opportunity? Flourish Education are working in partnership with a welcoming Primary School in Brierley Hill, who are seeking a Year 4 Class Teacher to join their team in September. This Year 4 Class Teacher role will start in the new academic year, and is ideally suited to an experienced practitioner with strong Key Stage 2 experience. The school offers a supportive and collaborative working environment, where planning and resources are shared across the three-form entry structure. Staff work closely together to ensure consistency, high standards, and strong outcomes for all pupils.
As a Year 4 Class Teacher, your responsibilities will include:
- Taking full responsibility for a Year 4 class, including planning, teaching, and assessments.
- Delivering engaging, high-quality lessons in line with the KS2 curriculum.
- Using assessment data effectively to inform planning, identify gaps, and maximise pupil progress.
- Creating a focused, structured and motivating classroom environment.
- Maintaining high expectations for attainment, behaviour and presentation.
- Collaborating with the other class teachers to ensure consistency in planning, assessment and moderation.
- Building strong relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues to support pupils.
Required Skills and Experience for this Year 4 Class Teacher role:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Substantial experience within Key Stage 2.
- A secure understanding of the Year 4 curriculum.
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
- The ability to motivate, challenge and inspire learners during a demanding academic period.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A DBS on the Update Service or issued within the last 12 months.
- A minimum of two excellent references.
