A welcoming Day Nursery in Brierley Hill is seeking a dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join their team on a long‑term basis. This full‑time role is to start in September, until the end of the academic year. This Nursery Practitioner role is based within a vibrant nursery setting, supporting young children at a crucial stage of their early development. You will work closely with the nursery team to provide a nurturing, engaging, and safe environment, helping children to develop socially, emotionally, and academically through a mix of play‑based and structured activities. The nursery is looking for a warm, reliable, and proactive Nursery Practitioner with strong EYFS knowledge, previous hands‑on nursery experience, and a genuine passion for supporting children in their early years.
Responsibilities
- Supporting children through play‑based and structured learning activities
- Assisting with the delivery of the EYFS curriculum
- Supporting children’s personal, social, and emotional development
- Encouraging communication, independence, and positive behaviour
- Supporting daily routines such as snack time, personal care, and outdoor play
- Working closely with colleagues to ensure a consistent approach to learning and care
- Helping to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience working within a Nursery, or Early Years setting
- A relevant Early Years qualification, either level 2 or level 3
- A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach
- A good understanding of the EYFS framework
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A reliable and professional attitude
