Are you a compassionate and qualified Nursery Nurse looking for a part‑time role starting in September? A friendly and supportive Primary School in Brierley Hill is seeking a dedicated Nursery Nurse to join their team from September on an ongoing basis. This is a part‑time position, working 4 days per week Monday to Thursday, based within the school’s Pre‑school room, supporting young children during an important stage of their early development.

In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting children’s learning through play‑based activities, helping to develop their communication, social, and physical skills. You will supervise and engage children during both indoor and outdoor play, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment. You will also support children with personal care throughout the day. This school is looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and proactive Nursery Nurse who is committed to delivering high‑quality early years support and care.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting children in the Pre‑school room with their learning and development through structured and play‑based activities.
  • Supervising and engaging children during indoor and outdoor play.
  • Assisting with personal care in a respectful and supportive manner.
  • Encouraging positive behaviour, independence, and social interaction.
  • Working closely with colleagues to maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment.
  • Observing and monitoring children’s progress and contributing to their development.
  • Supporting children’s emotional wellbeing and daily routines within the setting.
Qualifications
  • A relevant Early Years qualification (Level 2 or above).
  • Previous experience working within an early years or nursery setting.
  • Experience supporting children with personal care needs.
  • A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • Competitive Salary – £18,049 - £19,500 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year.
