We are recruiting for SEN Teachers for a long‑term position at an all‑age Special School in Halesowen, starting in January. This supportive setting caters for pupils aged 4–19, from Reception through to Post‑16, and provides specialist education for learners with ASD, complex communication needs, and cognition and learning difficulties.

This full‑time role (Monday to Friday, 8:15 am–3:30 pm) will involve planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to the individual needs of each learner. You will promote communication, independence, and engagement, using structured routines and consistent strategies to support pupils across a wide range of abilities and developmental stages.

Pupils may present varied and complex needs, so we are seeking resilient, nurturing teachers who can build strong relationships, create calm and purposeful learning environments, and adapt their teaching to support emotional regulation and positive behaviour. Required Skills and Experience for this SEND Teacher Role:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS)
  • Strong understanding of SEMH needs and experience supporting pupils who may display emotional or behavioural challenges, with the ability to implement effective regulation strategies and deliver personalised, therapeutic support approaches.
  • Background in working within a specialist school, PRU, or inclusive mainstream setting, supporting pupils with behavioural, social, and emotional needs.
  • Familiarity with strategies for managing behaviour and supporting children with emotional and behavioural challenges.
  • Confidence in planning and delivering differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs and learning outcomes.
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Up‑to‑date knowledge of safeguarding practices

Salary: £31,650 – £45,352 per annum based on working 5 days a week until the end of term

Holiday Pay: 12.07% of your day rate is accrued into your holiday pot

We are currently supporting an all‑age Special School (4–19) based in Halesowen, which is dedicated to meeting the needs of pupils with ASD, complex communication needs, and cognition and learning difficulties. The school works with learners from Reception through to Post‑16, providing a supportive, structured, and nurturing environment where pupils are encouraged to develop their communication, independence, and confidence.

Staff work closely with students to promote engagement, build meaningful relationships, and create consistent routines that help each individual achieve their full potential. This role is due to start in January. The school is conveniently located for professionals commuting from areas such as Stourbridge, Dudley, Quinton, Hagley, Birmingham, and the wider West Midlands region. With strong transport links and on‑site parking available, the setting is easily accessible whether you are travelling by car or using public transport.
