We are recruiting a PE Teacher for a full-time, long-term position in a well-regarded Secondary School in South Birmingham Rubery, starting after Easter. This role offers the chance to take on full teaching responsibilities, including planning lessons, assessing students, and contributing fully to the school community, with the potential to move into a permanent role.
Job Role
- Deliver engaging PE lessons across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4)
- Plan and prepare lessons in line with the National Curriculum
- Assess, track, and report on pupil progress
- Maintain excellent classroom behaviour management and implement school policies
- Support students’ learning needs and differentiation
- Contribute to departmental planning and whole-school initiatives
- Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
Required Skills and Experience
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in PE (ECTs welcome)
- Experience teaching in a UK Secondary School
- Excellent subject knowledge of PE across KS3 and KS4
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Experience planning and delivering lessons independently
- A positive reference from your most recent employer
