Nursery Teacher in Birmingham

Overview

Are you a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Teacher seeking a new opportunity in Nechells from February?

Flourish Education are currently recruiting for a Nursery Teacher to work in a Local Authority Nursery School, starting February 2026 and continuing until the end of the academic year. This is a full-time role with full class responsibility, working Monday to Friday, 8:15am – 4:30pm.

Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for the teaching and learning of the nursery class.
• Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Early Years Framework.
• Assess and track pupil progress, and contribute to the wider life of the school.
• Participate in staff meetings, parent consultations, and other school-related activities as required.

Requirements

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
• Confident in leading a classroom of children.
• Strong behaviour and classroom management.
• Confident teaching and planning around the EYFS Curriculum.
• Ability to work effectively with the Teaching Assistant.
