We are recruiting for a Humanities Teacher to join a forward-thinking and academically ambitious school committed to excellence in education. This Humanities Teacher role is due to start in September, until Christmas. You will be teaching across KS3 & KS4, and will be planning, marking, and assessment.

Responsibilities
  • Teach either or all of Geography, History and RE throughout KS3 and KS4.
  • Planning, marking, and assessment required.
  • Comply with the school behaviour policy.
  • Reporting pupil progress against targets/action plans.
  • Build relationships with the pupils, parents, and staff.
  • Excellent behaviour and classroom management skills.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Specialist in Humanities.
  • Must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Humanities – Early careers Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply.
  • Ability to manage a classroom with excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Contact references from all employment in the last 24 months.
  • Previous school experience teaching Humanities.

  • Competitive salary – Day rate of £168 to £232 which equates to £32,256 to £45,240 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year, dependent on experience.
  • Holiday Pay – for PAYE candidates you accrue this at 12.07% of your day rate.
