Flourish Education are recruiting for a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a Primary School in Alcester. This is a part-time role starting as soon as possible and continuing until December 2026.
The role will involve working within the school’s Resource Base, supporting children with a range of additional needs. The school is looking for a patient, adaptable and proactive Teaching Assistant who can provide consistent support and help create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Responsibilities as a SEND Teaching Assistant:
- Supporting up to 6 children within the Resource Base
- Providing academic, social and emotional support throughout the school day
- Supporting pupils to access learning and complete activities
- Working closely with the class teacher and wider SEND team
- Adapting support to meet the individual needs of pupils
- Helping to create a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment
- Following individual support plans and the school’s policies and procedures
Required Skills and Experience for a SEND Teaching Assistant:
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable
- Experience supporting children with SEND is desirable
- Experience working within a Resource Base or specialist provision would be beneficial
- A patient, calm and adaptable approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
