Flourish Education are currently searching for an experienced SEN teaching assistant, or ect looking to gain classroom based experience, for a full-time position supporting children with additional needs in a SEN hub for a local school. This Ofsted rated ‘good’ school focuses on child-led learning and providing a safe and nurturing environment for children to reach their potential. The role for teaching assistant is full-time, working monday to friday until the end of the year. Ages in the hub range from reception to year 6, with a capacity for 10 children who will be supported by 3 additional staff members and room leader. The needs of the children will range from Autism, ADD, ADHD, Dyslexia and challenging behaviour. For this role, candidates are required to have significant experience working alongside children who have additional needs, and have strong behaviour management skills. Candidates will be required to provide general support to the class, whilst also managing 1-1 and group interventions. Suitable applicants must be familiar with working against EHCPs, have provided small group work previously, and be comfortable being flexible across the hub. This vacancy is ideal for individuals looking for full-time SEN roles in primary schools. Hours are 08:30 – 15:30 Monday to Friday.
