Are you a passionate English teacher looking to make a change? Flourish Education are working with an Alternate provision based near Halesowen who are looking for a full time English Teacher to join them as soon as possible on a long-term ongoing basis. Our client is an alternative provision for pupils aged 11-16 who would benefit from a placement away from their mainstream setting due to behavioural and SEMH challenges. They are a small setting where SLT are heavily involved and are extremely supportive. This English role is teaching English up to GCSE using the Edexcel syllabus. Knowledge of Edexcel GCSE English would be ideal as well as a background in working with students with challenging behaviour and SEMH. Responsibilities for the English Teacher role Deliver English lessons up to GCSE Full planning, marking and assessment required. Reporting pupil progress against targets/action plans Build repour with students and encourage learning Ability to successfully manage challenging behaviour Build relationships with the pupils, parents, and staff. Attend CPD relevant to the role – whole staff and SLT meetings. Required skills and experience for the English Teacher role Experience in teaching English up to GCSE Qualified Teacher status (QTS) Is desired but not essential.
