At Florinee Homes Ltd, leadership means more than running a home – it means creating a place where children feel safe enough to heal, grow, and believe in themselves again. We are seeking a values‑led Registered Manager to lead a brand new children’s home, providing clear, compassionate leadership and ensuring the highest standards of care, culture, and compliance from the very beginning.
This is a rare opportunity to shape a home from its very foundations – embedding strong values, high standards, and trauma‑informed practice from day one. You will be the Registered Manager accountable for quality and outcomes, and the visible leader who sets the tone for practice, partnership, and progress.
The Purpose of Your RoleYou will lead a newly opened children’s home, ensuring it operates fully in line with the Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards 2015, the Children Act 2004, the Care Act 2014, Working Together to Safeguard Children, and our Statement of Purpose. Your leadership will translate policy into practice that children can truly feel: safety, consistency, dignity, and voice. You will build systems, teams, and routines that promote stability and deliver high‑quality care that improves outcomes emotionally, socially, educationally, and physically.
About YouYou are a grounded, confident leader with a strong moral compass and the regulatory knowledge to back it up. You bring calm under pressure, clarity in a crisis, and consistently high standards.
You will bring:
- A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care and Children & Young People’s Services (or equivalent, or working towards), with a strong commitment to continuous professional development
- At least 2 years’ experience working with vulnerable children within health and social care, including management experience – ideally within a residential setting
- A proven ability to build, lead, and motivate effective teams, with excellent communication, organisation, and confident decision‑making, including in crisis situations
- Strong knowledge of Ofsted inspections, current legislation, and person‑centred, trauma‑informed practice
- A full driving licence and flexibility to participate in an on‑call system as required
Salary of up to £60,000 per annum, reflecting the accountability, leadership, and impact of the Registered Manager role. Death in service cover, offering peace of mind and financial protection for your loved ones. Private health care access through our Employee Assistance Programme, supporting your physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing. Generous annual leave and access to comprehensive, ongoing training, supporting professional development and long‑term career progression. A values‑led and supportive leadership culture, where high standards are matched with trust, collaboration, and shared purpose. A performance‑related bonus, linked to successful Ofsted inspections and the delivery of high‑quality outcomes for children. A monthly contribution voucher, usable across multiple retailers to support everyday living costs. Access to internal and external professional and emotional support networks, recognising the demands of senior leadership in residential care.
Why Lead with Florinee HomesBecause being a Registered Manager here means building something that truly matters. From day one, you will shape a culture that children experience every single day – one of safety, consistency, voice, and hope. You will hold the line on quality and safeguarding while coaching and supporting your team to bring their best, even on the hardest days. And you’ll know, clearly and tangibly, that your leadership is changing lives.
If you’re ready to lead with purpose – and build a home where standards and compassion go hand in hand – we would love to hear from you.
