Overview
We are looking for a passionate and motivated Health Care Worker to join our dedicated team at the Allington Centre, a 20-bed low secure inpatient service specialising in forensic mental health care. The role is based in Dartford, Gravesham or Swanley, and the successful applicant will receive a London High Cost Area allowance.
Responsibilities
- Deliver a competent level of care under the guidance of senior staff, as determined by the patients’ care plan.
- Be fully aware of patients\’ needs over a 24-hour span of care.
- Consistently deliver a patient-focused service, promoting optimum independence.
- Offer appropriate support and advice to patients and record accurately all care given.
- Enable patients to maintain and improve their independence by promoting involvement in therapeutic activity programmes.
- Promote patients appearance, personal hygiene and a healthy, safe and secure environment, adhering to Trust statutory health and safety requirements.
- Assist nursing team to maintain a clean and healthy ward environment and support patients in daily living skills as required.
Qualifications
Health Care Workers should have experience in a multidisciplinary care team and be able to work effectively under supervision.

- Additional monthly payment (High Cost Area allowance) ranging from £1,303 to £2,198.
