We are a leading aerospace SME, offering a market-leading range of aviation-related services internationally. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team at Britten-Norman. Due to ongoing growth, we are recruiting for an Avionics Technician at our Lee-on-the-Solent site.

As an avionics technician, you will provide operational support to manufacturing, installation, and maintenance in electrical and avionics disciplines, working to meet deadlines under management supervision. Your responsibilities include installation, testing, modification, rectification, and maintenance of aircraft electrical and avionics systems in accordance with approved data, company procedures, and regulatory requirements. You will work towards achieving optimum productivity both individually and within the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement avionics modifications according to approved data
  • Remove, install, and rectify electrical and avionics components and assemblies as per AMM or other approved data
  • Perform aircraft maintenance following the maintenance schedule and manual
  • Test systems in line with maintenance manuals and approved data
  • Fault-find and rectify defects, completing relevant training for your role

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise

  • Aircraft Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent
  • Experience working on light utility, unpressurised aircraft
  • Knowledge of aircraft wiring
  • Fault identification, isolation, and rectification skills
  • Experience with avionics modifications
