An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team at Britten-Norman. Due to ongoing growth, we are now recruiting for an Aircraft Technician to join us at our Lee-on-the-Solent site.
As an aircraft technician, you will perform aircraft maintenance, repair, and modifications either at our home base maintenance facility or deployed at other locations across the world. You will carry out planned and reactive work in accordance with regulations and our internal processes and procedures.
Britten-Norman is the producer of one of the most successful civil aircraft ever manufactured in the UK and is now the UK\’s only independent civil aircraft manufacturer. We are also a leading aerospace SME, offering a market-leading range of aviation-related services internationally.
Key Responsibilities
- You will perform maintenance activity in accordance with regulations and our processes and procedures.
- Planned work may include scheduled maintenance, inspections, repairs, refurbishments, major and minor modifications, repainting, pre-buy inspection, etc. Unplanned work may include AOG response, customer support, defect rectification.
- Responsible for delivering work to standard within the required time and budget, ensuring documentation is completed using our M.R.O software systems.
- Maintain excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Work collaboratively in a team environment, fostering positive relationships and promoting open communication.
- Maintain a keen eye for detail and follow required processes.
- Work well under pressure to achieve collective goals and deadlines.

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
- Aircraft engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
- Experience in a similar role on light utility, unpressurized aircraft.
- Sheet metal work and airframe riveting skills.
- Fault identification, isolation, and rectification abilities.
- Experience with mechanical airframe modifications.
