The main purpose of the job

Reporting to the charge nurses, we are looking for healthcare assistants who will liaise at all levels with consultants, nursing services managers and all members of our multi-disciplinary team.

The postholder will be required to support the professional and multi-disciplinary team in the care of patients and the day-to-day management of the nursing department. In addition, they will be required to provide input with the implementation of specific support tasks with patients and their families. Finally, the successful candidate will provide feedback to other members of the treatment team regarding the progress of patients, under the direction of a qualified nurse.

Main Responsabilities:

• Assisting members of the multi-disciplinary team in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care for patients.
• Participating in the review of patients care plans as appropriate in ward rounds, meetings and case conferences, in line with policies and procedures.
• Reporting and recording any changes in a patient's physical or mental condition to the nurse in charge.
• Escorting patients both internally and externally to the hospital, as required. xgikmsk
• Endeavouring to develop sound professional relationships with patients, to promote active listening and communicate the patient's needs to members of the multi-disciplinary team.
