About the Role
Are you a psychology graduate with a strong interest in working in addiction and mental health services? Nightingale Hospitalis seeking an Honorary Assistant Psychologist to join our inpatient therapy team.
This voluntary role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on clinical experience in a multidisciplinary environment. You will support the delivery of psychological therapies, participate in psychoeducational and therapeutic groups, and assist in collecting and analysing patient outcome data. Supervision will be provided by a qualified psychotherapist, and youll attend weekly clinical and therapy team meetings.
Who Were Looking For
You will hold (or be expecting) a minimum 2:1 degree in Psychology and be eligible for Graduate Membership of the British Psychological Society (BPS).
Youll have a keen interest in addiction, mental health, and recovery-focused care, ideally with prior voluntary or clinical experience in mental health or health care settings.
You will be professional, compassionate, and eager to contribute to a high-functioning therapy team.
You will be able to commit to three days per week for 12 months , and demonstrate excellent organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
You will be comfortable with data collection, administrative tasks, and supporting patient progress monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
Support therapy team with the day-to-day running of the addiction programme.
Attend and observe therapeutic and psychoeducational group sessions.
Participate in weekly clinical review meetings and team discussions.
Collect, collate, and analyse clinical and outcome data for departmental reports.
Assist with weekly programme planning and patient feedback gathering.
Maintain accurate and confidential records in line with ethical and legal standards.
Contribute to a positive team culture and uphold the hospitals values.
Provide administrative support and contribute flexibly to departmental needs.
