SHIFT PATTERN - WEEKDAYS AND WEEKENDS About Nightingale Hospital Nightingale Hospital is the only private mental health hospital in Central London, with over 30 years of experience in delivering specialised, evidence-based treatments in outpatient , day patient , and inpatient settings. Our dedicated team of specialists is committed to diagnosing and treating all types of mental health conditions, including eating disorders and addictions. Conveniently located, we are a two-minute walk from Marylebone mainline and Underground stations, and within a ten-minute walk of Baker Street and Edgware Road Underground stations. We are owned by the international medical group Emeis, delivering the full spectrum of psychiatric care, and high-quality care home and rehabilitation services across the globe. The main purpose of the job Preparing meals for patients in the hospital, under the guidance of the HeadChef and Sous chef. To prepare, cook and present dishes in accordance with speciality Supervise and assist members of staff working with you Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef to create and develop new dishes and menus Monitor portion and waste control. Ensure you and your team maintain a high standard of cleanliness and food hygiene, meetingrequired quality standards Ensure the rules relating to health and safety are adhered to at all times Responsible for keeping up-to-date with hospital policies and procedures Requirements Health & safety and food hygiene course certificates A minimum of 3 years kitchen experience Great cooking skills Pastry skills Exceptional presentation with a passion for food Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to delegate appropriately A flexible approach towards shift requirements and to undertake tasks as requested by the Head Chef. Ability to undertake all mandatory training.
