As an Agency Registered Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of health and social care settings across the UK, providing high-quality care and making a positive impact on the lives of individuals in need. Responsibilities as a Registered Nurse:
- Provide nursing care to patients in accordance with established care plans, local policies, and procedures.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients’ health status, including physical, emotional, and social needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers, ensuring accuracy and adherence to best practices and within the scope of your registration and practice.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and observe for any changes in their condition, promptly reporting concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualised care plans tailored to patients’ needs and preferences.
- Educate patients and their families about their health conditions, treatment options, and self-care techniques to promote optimal health outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting all assessments, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with regulatory standards inclusive of any incident, accident and near misses.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues, demonstrating professionalism and empathy in all interactions.
- Stay informed about developments in nursing practice and participate in continuing education and training opportunities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
- Carers and support workers must have at least 6 months of care experience in the UK.
- Senior carers must have at least 3 years of care experience in the UK.
- Nurses must have at least 12 months of nursing experience in the UK and be qualified as a registered nurse with an active NMC pin.
- Compassionate and caring nature, with a genuine desire to help others and make a positive impact in their lives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients and their families.
- Reliable and dependable, with a flexible approach to work and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, following instructions and care plans effectively.
- Commitment to upholding professional standards and adhering to ethical principles in care delivery.
