Who are we?

Floramedia UK is the country’s leading provider of marketing communication products and services to the UK horticultural market. Chances are if you have ever bought a plant, then the label showing you how to best care for your new purchase was most likely produced by us!

Part of CCL Industries Inc, the Floramedia Group is a Dutch based company with offices in 6 other European countries. We are both printers and creative designers. Our world class print facility in Westzaan and nearby photographic studio and image library give us a unique position in the European horticultural world.

The UK team consists of 30+ members with wide ranging experience, from horticultural expertise and graphic design through to sales and marketing experts. We work closely with growers, breeders and retailers to design and deliver labelling, packaging and online content to tight deadlines.

The Opportunity

We operate in a demanding and fast-paced environment. To be successful we need an enthusiastic, proactive and energetic person to join our team to deliver B2B marketing services.

The ideal candidate will have a good background in marketing through qualifications and experience of direct product marketing. They should be a self-starter confident in their ability to take their knowledge and experience and adapt it to a new challenge within the horticultural industry.

The candidate will be solely responsible for delivering the business marketing plan to enhance the company position and generate sales, including but not limited to, campaigns, content generation, trade shows and new product development.

Travel across the UK will periodically be required, with visits to sustain relationships, attend trade events and meet prospects from time to time.

Main Responsibilities

·Create comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with business goals. Conduct market research, identify target audiences, and develop plans to effectively reach and engage new and exercising customers.

·Planning, executing, and tracking marketing campaigns. Coordinate with internal teams, external partners, and vendors to deliver on time and budget.

·Research, scope and deliver appropriate industry relevant trade shows.

·Support the business with oversight market research to gain insight into industry trends.

·Ensure all business operations meet and deliver against brand standards and guidelines.

·Develop and manage marketing budgets, monitor spend, track ROI, and ensure best use of budget.

·Maintain our website, social media and email marketing. Stay updated on digital marketing trends, tools, and best practices that customers may be using. Report on performance.

·Oversee the creation of all UK marketing collateral such as brochures, presentations, sales materials, and product documentation.

·Work with our European Marketing Team to represent the UK’s localisation position.

·Collaborate and support with various internal and external stakeholders, including sales teams and project managers.

·Taking the lead with client requested Creative/Marketing work. This includes working with clients to develop comprehensive briefs which include campaign goals, and comprehensive plans.

·Coordinate with various teams within the company to ensure smooth project flow.

·Oversee internal colleague events.

Knowledge and Skills To Master

● To understand the structure of the horticultural market (breeders, growers, wholesalers and retailers) and know the key players

● To be familiar with market trends and the consumer behaviour that may impact this market

● To be familiar with the main competitors and their USP’s

● To understand the products and services offered by the company, and key product differences

● To periodically share knowledge and insight with colleagues within the company

● Competent user of, CRM systems and email marketing such as Mailchimp. Experienced user of Google & Microsoft suites, Wordpress, Google analytics and social media platforms.
