We’re partnering with a privately owned business with a diverse portfolio spanning real estate and investment assets, who are looking to appoint a Head of Finance to take ownership of the finance function as the group continues to evolve. This is a broad, hands-on role, ideal for an experienced finance professional who enjoys autonomy, variety and working closely with senior stakeholders in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment.
The Role
As Head of Finance, you will oversee the day-to-day finance operations across multiple entities and investment structures. You’ll work closely with senior decision makers, both internally and externally to ensure accurate reporting, strong financial controls and effective financial management across the group. Experience within real estate or investment-led environments is advantageous, but commercial judgement, adaptability and willingness to learn are equally important.
Key Responsibilities
- Ownership of financial records and ledgers across multiple entities
- Support and produce statutory accounts preparation and year-end processes
- Preparation of monthly management accounts and financial statements
- Property-focused financial reporting, including rent rolls, service charges and lease accounting
- Support accounting and reporting for investment holdings across private and public markets
- Cash flow management
- Leading audit with external auditors
- Ensure strong financial controls, governance and compliance
About You
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or qualified by experience (QBE)
- Proven experience in a Head of Finance, Financial Controller, Senior Accountant or similar role
- Exposure to property, investments or complex group structures is beneficial but not essential
- Strong technical accounting and financial reporting skills
- Comfortable operating in a hands-on, multi-entity environment
- High levels of discretion, professionalism and attention to detail
- Confident working directly with senior stakeholders and advisers
