Flora & Co Associates are working with a well established organisation to recruit a Fixed Asset and Leases Property Accountant on a permanent basis. This is a great opportunity for a qualified, part qualified or qualified by experience accountant who enjoys owning end to end property finance processes and improving how things run.
If you are an experienced Fixed Asset and Leases Property Accountant or a Property Accountant with some fixed asset or lease exposure looking for a stable long term role with scope to improve processes and add value, this is well worth a look. The Role
As the Fixed Asset and Leases Property Accountant, you will take ownership of all property related finance activity including rent, service charge, turnover rent and sub let income. You will work closely with internal teams and third party suppliers to ensure everything is accurate, on time and properly controlled.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and clear property related inbox queries including allocating items across the wider team
- Raise invoices and recharges for sub let properties and follow up for timely payment
- Complete monthly reviews of internal property accounts, accruals and prepayments
- Support forecasts, budgets, provisions and discount unwinding
- Receive and review quarterly rent and service charge invoices ensuring accuracy and approvals
- Send approved invoices to Accounts Payable for processing and payment
- Maintain balance sheet control accounts and highlight risks and opportunities
- Review and improve end to end property support processes

About You
To be successful as a Fixed Asset and Leases Property Accountant, you will ideally have:
Essential
- Experience working with fixed assets, leases or property accounting
- Strong Excel skills including formulas, reconciliations and large data sets
- Excellent communication skills with finance and non finance stakeholders
- A process improvement mindset
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Good planning and organisational skills
- A calm approach under pressure
Desirable
- Experience in a property, facilities or multi site environment
- Exposure to IFRS 16 or lease accounting standards
- Experience with balance sheet control accounts
