We’re working with a well-established accounting practice that’s looking to appoint an experienced Accounts Senior to join their growing team. This is a hands-on role for an Accounts Senior who enjoys managing a varied client portfolio and delivering high-quality work across statutory and year-end accounts. This opportunity would suit an Accounts Senior with strong practice experience who is confident working independently and supporting clients day to day.
As an Accounts Senior, you’ll be responsible for producing accurate and timely financial information for a range of clients. Key responsibilities of the Accounts Senior role include:
- Producing statutory accounts for limited companies
- Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders and partnerships
- Completing corporation tax returns
- Working with cloud accounting software including Xero and Sage
- Using Excel confidently, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
- Managing deadlines and prioritising workload effectively
This role would suit an Accounts Senior who has:
- Previous practice experience in a similar Accounts Senior role
- Part-qualified (ACA / ACCA) or qualified by experience
- Strong experience producing statutory accounts and year-end accounts
- Experience preparing corporation tax returns
- Hands-on experience with Xero and Sage
- Solid Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs
