We are seeking an experienced Sub-contractual / Self-Employed Flooring Installer to join our team for various residential and commercial flooring projects. This role will involve the professional installation of carpet, carpet tiles, luxury vinyl tiles (LVT), and vinyl sheet flooring. A full UK driving license is required to travel to various job sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Measure and cut carpet to fit specific areas.
- Lay carpet using appropriate methods such as stretch-in installation, glue-down, or tack-strip installation, ensuring seamless installation.
- Prepare subflooring, including cleaning, smoothing, and applying necessary adhesives or padding.
- LVT (Luxury Vinyl Tile) Installation: Measure and cut luxury vinyl tiles to fit the space. Lay LVT in a precise pattern or design as per project specifications. Install LVT over prepared subflooring (e.g., wood, concrete, or existing flooring). Apply adhesives, glue, or click-lock methods to ensure a durable and secure installation. Maintain quality control to ensure proper alignment, minimal gaps, and smooth transitions.
- Install sheet vinyl or vinyl planks using the appropriate installation method (adhesive, click-lock, or loose lay). Ensure that the vinyl flooring adheres securely to the subfloor and remains level across the entire area. Trim and shape vinyl flooring to fit edges and corners. Seamlessly integrate vinyl floors with baseboards, door trims, and other floor elements.
