Carpet Roles UK are delighted to be assisting their clients, a well-established Commercial Flooring Specialist Contractor based near Bradford, West Yorkshire, in their search for an Estimator / Buyer to help win business and source products on their behalf.
Our clients are a specialist commercial flooring company with an annual turnover exceeding £5 million. With many years of experience in supplying and fitting contract flooring, they operate from their base in West Yorkshire. They are currently seeking an experienced Estimator/Buyer to support their existing team on commercial new build and refurbishment fit-out projects for a large client base. While their projects are primarily concentrated in the Yorkshire region, they also undertake a significant amount of work across the wider UK.
Skills Required
- The ideal candidate will possess detailed knowledge of Contract Flooring and a working knowledge of IT Systems, including Microsoft Office and specific Flooring Estimation Software (Callidus).
Duties
- The successful candidate will be responsible for computing costs from drawings using Callidus Software and Bills of Quantities, as well as analysing the labour and materials required along with time requirements.
- A good telephone manner and the ability to communicate effectively via email are essential, as the role involves liaising with existing clients, suppliers, and handling new telephone enquiries.
- The candidate will be required to procure materials for the commencement of contracts and liaise with Supplier Representatives to obtain competitive prices.
- The ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, supporting the Contracts Team and Floor Layers in the day-to-day management of multiple projects, is crucial.
- A commercially savvy approach and the ability to represent the Company in a professional manner are also required.
As the position is based in our offices near Bradford, candidates must reside within this area.
Salary: Dependent on experience, £35,000 - £45,000
The working days are Monday to Friday.
