We are looking for an experienced and customer‑focused Retail Sales Estimator to join the Flooring 4 Less team — one of the UK’s leading flooring and carpet retailers. The Role
As a Retail Sales Estimator, you will play a vital role in driving store sales and delivering an excellent customer experience. You will combine your product knowledge, measuring expertise, and sales ability to guide customers confidently through the purchasing journey. You’ll work closely with the showroom team, fitters, and warehouse staff to ensure every project runs smoothly — from first consultation to final installation.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service & Sales
- Visit customer properties to accurately measure and assess flooring requirements
- Provide expert advice on carpets, laminate, vinyl, engineered wood, and LVT flooring
- Prepare professional quotations and estimates with attention to detail
- Assist customers in selecting products that suit their needs, style, and budget
- Promote and sell additional products including underlay, accessories, and fitting services
- Follow up quotations and customer enquiries to maximise sales opportunities
- Deliver an outstanding customer experience throughout the full sales process
- Work towards achieving individual and store sales targets
- Product Knowledge
- Maintain strong knowledge of all Flooring 4 Less product ranges
- Stay updated on supplier products, pricing, promotions, and industry trends
- Confidently explain product suitability, warranties, installation methods, and aftercare requirements
- Provide accurate measurements and calculations using both imperial and metric units
- Store & Operational Support
- Support the smooth day‑to‑day running of the showroom
- Assist with stock movement, stock replenishment, and preparing customer orders
- Coordinate effectively with fitters, warehouse staff, and suppliers
- Ensure showroom displays remain clean, organised, and visually appealing
- Help prepare goods for deliveries and installations
- Administration & Compliance
- Complete quotations, invoices, and customer paperwork accurately
- Maintain organised customer records and job information
- Follow company procedures and health & safety guidelines at all times
- Ensure all customer information is handled professionally and confidentially
About You
- Previous experience in flooring, carpet sales, estimating, or retail sales preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Confident in measuring and preparing accurate quotations
- Sales‑driven with the ability to build rapport and close sales effectively
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Professional, reliable, and approachable
- Full UK driving licence essential
