ABOUT THE ROLE
We're Floor Street — one of the UK's fastest growing flooring companies, named the 82nd fastest growing business in The Sunday Times Hundred 2025 and the fastest growing company in the entire interiors sector. We have thousands of customers and an email database that is one of our most powerful commercial assets. We're looking for an Email Marketing & Content Executive who can turn that database into revenue. Someone who understands automation, writes brilliant copy, plans content with purpose, and uses data to make smarter decisions. This is a rare opportunity to own two of the most impactful marketing channels in our business and build them properly from the ground up.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- You'll own Floor Street's email marketing and content strategy end to end. That means building and managing automated email flows, planning and writing campaign emails, creating content calendars, writing copy across multiple channels and making sure everything we put out sounds like Floor Street.
- You'll report directly to our Head of Digital Marketing and work closely with our video creator, social media manager and paid media team.
- Build, manage and optimise email automations — welcome series, post-purchase sequences, sample-to-order nurture flows, win-back campaigns and abandoned basket flows.
- Plan and send regular broadcast email campaigns aligned to promotions, product launches and seasonal moments.
- Segment the email list to ensure customers receive relevant, personalised communications based on what they've bought or browsed.
- Write all email copy — subject lines, preview text, body copy, CTAs — with a strong understanding of what drives opens, clicks and conversions.
- Develop and maintain a content calendar that plans all content output weeks in advance across email, social and the website.
- Write copy for product descriptions, website pages, ad copy, WhatsApp sales scripts and team communications.
- Brief the social media manager and video creator on content needs based on the calendar and commercial priorities.
- Track and report on email performance — open rates, click rates, revenue per email, unsubscribe rates.
- A/B test subject lines, send times, content and CTAs to continuously improve performance.
- Support SEO through well-written blog posts and landing page copy.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 2+ years experience in email marketing with a demonstrable track record of results.
- Hands-on experience with an email platform Klaviyo.
- Strong copywriting skills — you write in a way that feels human, persuasive and on-brand.
- Experience building automated email flows and understanding the strategy behind each one.
- Comfortable working with data — you can read a report, draw a conclusion and act on it.
- Experience creating content calendars and managing content across multiple channels.
- Understanding of ecommerce customer journeys and how email fits into the wider marketing funnel.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail — you spot typos before they go out.
- SEO copywriting experience.
- Experience with SMS marketing.
- Experience in ecommerce or home interiors brands.
- Knowledge of Shopify and how email integrates with an ecommerce platform.
- A portfolio of email campaigns or content you've written that you're proud of.
