ABOUT THE ROLE
We're Floor Street — one of the UK's fastest growing companies, named the 82nd fastest growing business in The Sunday Times Hundred 2025 and the fastest growing company in the entire interiors sector. We sell beautiful floors to thousands of customers across the UK and we're building a marketing team to match our ambition. We're looking for a Social Media Manager who lives and breathes Instagram and TikTok, understands how to grow an audience, and can turn a flooring brand into a community people actually want to follow. This is not a corporate social media job; we want someone creative, platform-native and genuinely excited about building something special.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
- You’ll own Floor Street's presence across all social media channels — Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn and beyond.
- You'll plan and schedule content, manage our community, write captions, brief our video creator, and use data to figure out what works and what doesn't.
- Manage and grow Floor Street's Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and LinkedIn channels.
- Plan and maintain a monthly content calendar aligned to sales campaigns and product launches.
- Write compelling captions and copy for every post across every platform.
- Brief and collaborate with our in‑house video creator on content ideas and output.
- Manage community — respond to all comments, DMs and mentions across all platforms daily.
- Monitor and report on performance metrics — reach, engagement, follower growth, link clicks.
- Identify trending content formats and adapt them for the Floor Street brand.
- Repost and amplify user‑generated content and customer installations.
- Support influencer and affiliates.
- Keep the brand voice and visual style consistent across every platform and every post.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 2+ years of experience managing social media for a brand, agency or e‑commerce business.
- Deep knowledge of Instagram and TikTok — you understand the algorithms, not just how to use the apps.
- Strong copywriting skills — you can write a caption that stops the scroll.
- Confident using social scheduling and analytics tools. Data literate — you read analytics and adjust strategy based on what the numbers tell you.
- Community management experience — you know how to handle comments, DMs and the occasional difficult customer with grace.
- Self‑starter who can manage their own workload without constant direction.
- Genuine passion for interiors, home design or lifestyle content — you'd follow accounts like ours in your own time.
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience with Photoshop, Canva or basic graphic design for social assets.
- Experience growing a brand account from scratch or significantly increasing a following.
- Knowledge of TikTok Ads or Meta Ads (we have a dedicated paid specialist, but crossover knowledge is a bonus).
- Experience in e‑commerce or home interiors brands.
- A portfolio of social accounts or content you've managed that you're proud of.
