As a Solutions Architect you will be responsible for providing strong technical leadership and direction in the delivery of Flooid's projects. Working alongside the Project Implementation teams and Product Architecture, our Solutions Architects use their extensive knowledge of the product and its unique offering within the retail sector, combined with more general industry best practice architecture principles, to oversee the entire project lifecycle from pre-sales through design, development, delivery and support. Collaboration and communication skills are critical as you will work closely with the customer as a key member of the Flooid project team to provide technical solution leadership for both the customer and internal implementation teams.
Responsibilities
- Accountable for the definition and design of Product-centric solutions to Flooid's customer base and for ensuring the design is applied to the delivery phase of a project through strong technical leadership.
- Ensure that the company vision of our technology strategy is represented and applied through all product and project activities.
- Work with project delivery teams throughout the project life cycle, ensuring projects are adequately defined from the outset (RFI/RFP/pre-sales) and that this definition is understood and communicated throughout the project life-cycle.
- Ensure requirements are adequately defined from a business, technical, and operational perspective and work across project teams to assist in this regard throughout the entire application lifecycle, focusing on all areas from NFRs, Infrastructure Design and Business Requirements through Implementation, QA, Integration, Release and Support.
- Collaborate with project leaders and implementers to ensure the design and implementation of enterprise-ready business applications is in-line with specified architectures and technologies.
- Assist project delivery teams by providing input into commercial and legal proposals and negotiations.
- Provide troubleshooting and triage support for production systems during the project pilot and rollout.
Requirements
- Strong product knowledge, business awareness, flexible adaptable approach and strong communication skills.
- Well-established knowledge of software, technical, data, infrastructure and integration architectures/patterns and the ability to ensure that the definition and delivery of solutions adhere to those best practices.
- Experience of project delivery in the retail sector.
- Background in software development and extensive experience delivering enterprise-level, professional computing solutions.
- Experience of leading and working as a key influencer in software delivery teams using agile development methodologies.
- Experience working directly with customers and collaborating within a multi-disciplinary team throughout the entire project lifecycle from pre-sales through to support.
- Excellent commercial and financial acumen.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate and interact well with co-workers and customers.
- Excellent memory, organizational ability, and ability to set priorities, handle multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines.
- Excellent critical thinking abilities.
- A desirable but not required skill: fluent in French.
