Location: London

Purpose

To provide administrative and creative support to the Corporate Affairs Team, contributing to the development and delivery of communications materials, assisting with campaigns and digital content, and gaining hands-on experience in corporate communications.

Internal Communications

  • Collaborate with the communications team to develop and deliver a new internal communications strategy.
  • Support planning and execution of internal events.
  • Manage and update internal comms pages on SharePoint.
  • Ensure consistency in tone, accessibility, and brand standards.
  • Assist with drafting internal announcements and supporting campaigns.
  • Contribute to reporting, analytics, and engagement tracking.
  • Manage internal blogs (planning and logistics).
  • Maintain Flood Re’s corporate calendar, including ensuring Chair, CEO and Exec speaking engagements are captured and advise the team when they need to prepare speeches and briefings.
  • Maintain and update CRM system, working with EAs on contacts and trip notes.
  • Collate content for monthly round-up emails.
  • General team admin: SharePoint folders, SOP writing (with support).
  • Run and share the weekly Events Grid.
  • Assist with MP correspondence tracking and standard responses.
  • Provide admin support for Flood Action Week and other events.
  • Attend events for support and development.
  • Ensure timely execution of team tasks and provide general support.
  • Help to manage the Comms and Event inboxes.
  • Travel within the UK for events (food and travel expenses covered).

Knowledge and Experience

  • Degree in relevant field such as marketing, journalism, strategic communications or politics.
  • Internal communications experience highly desirable.
  • Interest in corporate communications.
  • Basic working knowledge of Parliament is desirable.
  • Adaptability to changing technologies and business needs.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • High levels of energy and enthusiasm.
  • Excellent attention to detail and highly organised.
  • A self-starter, able to work independently and proactively.
  • Effective time management skills, able to manage multiple priorities and projects concurrently.
  • Team player who likes to work within a highly collaborative environment.
