We're looking for driven and pragmatic product-minded software engineers, who care about user experience and have experience of scaling consumer applications - in particular of ensuring a consistently great experience for users regardless of what device they're on.
What You'll Do
- Building new product features (full-stack, with frontend focus)
- Designing non-functional app features (e.g. offline support, improving observability)
- Contributing to technical roadmap planning
- Working with product/UX to iterate on the app design and requirements
- Participating in bug triage/diagnosis and incident investigations
- Improving test coverage of the app (especially across a variety of user devices)
- Making data driven decisions about app changes
You'll collaborate closely with the rest of the engineering / UX team, work directly with company leadership, and see the impact of your work on real patients.
About You
- You have strong programming skills (ideally in TypeScript / Python) and experience of full stack web development
- You enjoy working with design and product teams to help shape exceptional products
- You care deeply about your users - championing great experience and access to quality clinical care
- You take initiative and ownership of your work, and communicate clearly
We're hiring for this role at a range of seniority levels. Additionally, for more experienced hires:
- You've built and scaled consumer facing production web applications
- You've maintained applications long term, and seen how early decisions play out as systems grow
- You have experience of mentoring team members, and maturing engineering processes
Bonus Points
- iOS/Android app development (native or otherwise)
- Software medical devices (or another regulated industry)
- Startup experience
- Video streaming and/or real-time technologies
What We Offer
- Interesting and challenging work
- In-person working from a beautiful work space in the Cambridgeshire countryside
- An onsite gym
- A digital health subscription of your choice

- Optional remote working on Wednesdays, with an annual allowance of 10 extra remote days

- Regular pulse-checks to help us build a culture we're proud of
- Monthly team BBQs and desserts on Flok
- A fast paced work environment geared towards excellence and professional growth (with annual training budget)
- Top notch specialty tea and coffee
- A chance to have a big impact in a small early stage team making a difference to the lives of people across the UK
